Mount Shasta Ski Park
Kick things off at Mt. Shasta Ski Park, just an hour and fifteen-minute drive north of Redding. This local gem stays open until April 14th, so there’s still time to get some final runs in. Spend the morning carving up the mountain on your snowboard before heading back down to take on new thrills.

Lake Shasta
By noon, you’ll be ready to hit the liquid landscapes of Shasta Lake. This massive lake is a wakesports paradise. Rent a boat and spend the afternoon wakeboarding, wakesurfing, kneeboarding, or whatever your towed watersport of choice may be. The warm California sun and pristine waters are calling. Don’t forget to bring your sunscreen!

Sacramento River National Recreation Trail
When the lake fun winds down, it’s time to hit the iconic Sacramento River Trail. This 17-mile paved path winds through the heart of Redding, with plenty of access points to drop in. Cruise on your longboard, carve the trails on your mountain bike, or push the limits on your electric skateboard. Just watch out for other trail users!

Sacramento River & Sundial Bridge
As sunset approaches, wrap up your day with a paddle on the Sacramento River. Lake Redding offers an iconic backdrop of Shasta Bally. Kayak, raft, or stand-up paddleboard (SUP) while surrounded by scenic views. Lake Redding is fairly mellow, and you need to get upriver to enjoy the drift back down to the boat ramp. Bring a lifejacket as the water is chilly and the river does have a strong current.
