The Drowsy Chaperone is a comedy about a man who puts on his favorite cast recording and watches the entire musical play out, live, in his own apartment. It is funny in the way that only a show truly in love with theater can be, but it does not require you to share that love to enjoy it. Performed in full costume, it is fast, warm, and the kind of show that earns its laughs without ever making the audience work for them.
