Freedom Festival 2027

The City of Redding will host its annual fireworks show on July 4th at 10 pm at the Redding Civic Auditorium grounds.

This free event is one of the largest fireworks displays in California, featuring over 1,700 shells produced by Pyro Spectaculars and generously sponsored by the McConnell Foundation.

Freedom Festival Schedule:

• 5–9:55 PM: Food vendors open, offering dinner, drinks, and shaved ice
• 7 PM: Live music begins
• 10 PM: Fireworks show begins, choreographed to a soundtrack airing on Q97 (97.3 FM)

Please arrive between 6-9 PM. The Sundial Bridge and Civic Auditorium overpass will close at 9 PM for public safety and show preparation. Once parking lots are full, vehicle access will be restricted.     

Important Reminders:

• All fireworks are illegal in Shasta County without a permit, including within Redding city limits.
• Drones are not permitted during the event.
• No alcohol, tobacco, or drugs allowed.
• No pets (except service animals) are allowed at the event.
• Pop-up tents must be taken down at sundown.
