Create the City – Downtown Creative Expedition

One City. One Evening. Infinite Possibilities.

For one evening, downtown Redding becomes the canvas.

Create the City is a collaborative creative expedition where photographers, artists, filmmakers, designers, writers, musicians, and creators of every kind come together to explore downtown through creativity.

Participants begin at The Art Hunger, receive a series of creative prompts, then head into the city to create in whatever medium inspires them. Work independently or collaborate with others as you discover familiar places from entirely new perspectives.

The evening concludes back at The Art Hunger, where everyone shares what they created, connects with fellow creatives, and celebrates the experience together.

Selected work from the expedition will be featured during a community gallery exhibition at The Art Hunger on September 4.

Whether you're an experienced creative or simply looking for a new way to experience Redding, Create the City is an opportunity to connect, collaborate, and create alongside your community.
