Castle Lake to Heart Lake Hike

This Sierra Club field trip, supported by Shasta Chapter CNPS, will be at Heart Lake near Mt. Shasta. It will be a 3-mile out-and-back hike of moderate difficulty, above 6,000 feet. We will be learning about the plants along the trail, the Roadless Rule, and Wilderness Area designations. Join us for a morning of hiking and learning while taking in spectacular views! Wear closed-toe shoes and bring water and lunch. Hiking poles are helpful. No dogs, please. Heavy rain cancels, but for intermittent sprinkles or drizzle, bring an umbrella. Limited to 15 participants.
