REDDING RANCHERIA STILLWATER POW WOW
Redding Rancheria’s Stillwater Pow Wow – a vital annual Native American celebration.
Gathering as a people to celebrate our way of life and honor our ancestors is what the Stillwater Pow Wow is all about! It represents our return to Sacred Traditions and allows us to reflect on the power of long-held traditions that keep our communities strong. In its 32nd year, the pow wow will be held at the Redding Rodeo Grounds October 4-6, 2024
Redding Rancheria has hosted the Stillwater Pow Wow since 1991 and has grown extraordinarily. Approximately 10,000 people come each year to watch dancers from across the United States and Canada compete for prize money totaling more than $15,000.
What can you expect attending the Stillwater Pow Wow?
For many visitors, this may be their first up-close experience with Native American cultures. Visitors will see and hear traditional singing, drumming, and dancing. The dancing, drum groups, and artisans representing the various tribes come together to honor our ancestors and our native traditions. The event features delicious food, Native American crafts, and cultural learning experiences.
This is a FREE cultural event, open to the public, and all ages are welcome. No smoking, drugs, or alcohol allowed. There are limited camping spaces available and limited rooms at Win-River Resort & Casino.
