Sensory Hour at Turtle Bay
We are proud to open our museum doors with our lights dimmed, minimal sounds, and a relaxed atmosphere.
Sensory Hour is an event for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Sensory Processing sensitivities and their families to experience the Museum at their own pace.
Our goal is to make Sensory Hour a comfortable environment for individuals with a variety of sensory differences.
Our staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions you have, and if necessary, direct you to a quiet space that provides a chance to cool down and take a break.
Families are welcome to explore the rest of the Park for the remainder of the day.
Participants are always welcome to bring fidget tools, ear protection, and other sensory resources to the Park.
This program is free, however, pre-registration is required and space is limited.
