“Make a Corset” is a full-day, full-instruction workshop led by clothing designer, quilter, pattern developer, and clothing fabricator Deb Portelance.

Ms. Portelance has extensive experience in creating festival wear and costuming.

Students will learn about and make a corset with spring boning, front busk, and grommet lacing.

Students will need to choose a brocade, heavy satin, or medium to heavy-weight woven fabric for the outside cover.

Teacher will provide grommets, laces, boning, and inside materials.

Students must have knowledge of sewing machine operation.
