Join us for an evening of poetry and discussion with local Chico author and poet Joan Goodreau.

Joan is a Pushcart Award Nominee, was awarded a Hedgebrook Writing Residency Recipient to work on her chapbook of poems taken from interviews with parents of autistic children during Covid. Her stories and articles have appeared in numerous periodicals and anthologies in Canada and the United States.

Joan’s short plays have been produced in Chico comedy festivals. This summer, her play about the Little Mermaid was performed by the Off the Page Theater in Santa Rosa. She has done readings in Chico, Santa Rosa, and the Bay Area, and has appeared several times on NPR’s Nancy’s Bookshelf.
