Get a Taste of Redding
We play hard in the great outdoors here in Redding, but we know how to unwind too. Nothing says relaxing like a chilled lager fresh from the tap, or a specialty cocktail served by a friendly face. Our local breweries are veritable institutions, pumping out all sorts of original ales and stouts. Beyond beer, our bars and lounges downtown have all the wine and cocktails that anyone could need, making sure everyone can relax and unwind in their own way, maybe even with a little live music. The fun doesn’t end in Redding when the sun bids adieu!
Cheers to Redding
It doesn’t get more local than our craft brews. It’s all part of Redding’s vibrant bar and brewery culture.

Craft Some Brews
Fall River started in 2011 and as most breweries do, in a garage. The journey then continued to a converted airplane hanger near Burney Falls and most recently a big move in 2018 to the Redding facility with a new 30 BBL brewing system. Whether is their IPAs, ales, stouts, lagers, porters, seltzers, and lots of fresh seasonal releases, this brewery deserves a taste test.

Straight from the Tap
In and around Downtown Redding, locals have turned their passion for homebrewing into a vibrant craft beer scene. Ale House Pub is the oldest brew pub in Redding. Fall River Taphouse is as fresh as it gets, with a beer-only menu right from the source. Or order a pint pulled from one of the 24 taps at Final Draft Brewing Company. Enjoy some nibbles alongside the ales at Woody’s Brewing Company, an award-winning, family-run business that showcases the true spirit of Redding.

For a Night on the Town
If you’ve sampled the local brews and want to keep the night going, Redding’s bar scene has you covered. Castle Lounge brings classic dive bar energy with pool, darts, and NFL games on deck. Riddick’s Sports Pub levels things up with chef-driven takes on pub favorites—from smoked tri-tip to raspberry-jam-laced Monte Cristo pinwheels—all served in a chill, 21+ setting. Maxwell’s Downtown Eatery delivers crowd-pleasing cocktails and comfort food right in the heart of downtown. So go ahead, stay out a little longer and soak up the Redding vibe.

For Something Different
Not all watering holes are the same, and Redding has a few local favorites with a spirit entirely their own. There’s 1724 Downtown Bar & Grill, which offers a laid back environment for chatting and drinking, making it the place to mingle with locals. The Dip offers craft beer from around the region alongside live music, for those who want to get a bit more of an experience. Rusty Nail is the local lounge for great cocktails and bar food. Grab a drink and meet some people to get to know Redding in a whole new way.
