Sunny days, a Mediterranean-like climate, wide open spaces, and a spirit of outdoor recreation? Redding was tailor-made for parks and gardens! Enjoy a stroll through the year-round botanical gardens or let the kids run wild at one of the playgrounds. They’re scattered around the city, so it’s easy to take a picnic break between convention sessions or whatever is filling your Redding vacation itinerary for the day. If you need a Frisbee, football, or a kite to turn an afternoon into a memory, we have shops for that, and your dog can tag along, usually on his/her leash.
